DTR ANSWERS

Trailer and towing questions.

Practical details for trailer ratings, parts fitment, service appointments and rental requests.

What trailer types does DTR support?

The target market includes utility, enclosed cargo, dump box, car hauler, gooseneck/deckover and RV trailers. Exact sales, rental and service availability is confirmed with DTR.

What does GVWR mean?

GVWR is the maximum loaded weight rating of the trailer. It is not the same as payload. Payload depends on the specific trailer's empty weight and equipment.

How do I know if my vehicle can tow a trailer?

Use the tow vehicle manufacturer's towing and payload limits and the ratings for the hitch, ball mount, coupler, tires and trailer. The lowest applicable rating governs the combination.

What information should I send for a parts match?

A clear photo of the trailer identification plate and axle tag is helpful. Include the part number, bearing numbers, bolt pattern, tire size, brake type or other measurements when available.

Does a service booking mean the appointment is confirmed?

No. The online form creates a service request and preferred appointment window. DTR reviews the request and confirms availability.

Can I add multiple service checks to one visit?

Yes. Select a primary booking service and choose optional checks for tires, lights, brakes, hubs, hitch, coupler, safety chains and suspension.

Are trailer rental dates guaranteed online?

Rental availability, capacity, tow vehicle requirements, rental terms and pickup details are confirmed by DTR before the reservation is finalized.

Can DTR service RV trailers?

The service menu includes RV trailer running-gear and seasonal checks. Appliances and living-area systems should be identified in the request so DTR can confirm service scope.
